It's The Rules, Not Romney!

If not for the delegate rule changes and a few states losing a portion of their delegates for moving up their election dates, Romney would have knocked out his opponents by now. Too bad that point is not being talked about.

The rules were intentionally changed to make it difficult for anyone to win early, and now that the effect of the rule change is playing out and Romney is the consistent rebounding frontrunner, the spin suggests that Romney is the problem.

If Santorum (or Gingrich) were in Romney's position right now, all of the pundits would be applauding him, crowning him the nominee, and pointing to every positive scenerio that will lead to his victory. With Romney, a few pundits throw him a bone here and there, but most of them are doom and gloom commentators fixated on stopping Romney by continually characterising his success as a failure because he has not "sewn" this up by now!!! Give me a physical break!
